Acceptance or Adventure?

What would you choose if you had to? Acceptance or adventure?

See, these two choices lead us to two completely different places that could not be further apart. The deeper you go, taking the road of Acceptance, the further you will be from the Island of Adventure.

The road of acceptance is smooth and straight. It’s predictable, yet uneventful.

The Island of Adventure, though, is lush with greenery, exotic fruits and funny-looking birds. The jungle is thick and mysteriously intriguing. The sounds range from suspiciously quiet to lively and unexpected. But always captivating.

The road of Acceptance is by initiation only, and you never know when the desired, gold-embossed envelope will show up in your postal box.

The Island of Adventure is the place where you get to invite others, and you will need to build the roads through the jungle, search for food and fight off wild animals. You will get to taste the exotic fruit and see the funny-looking birds fight for a tree branch at the very top of the tallest pine tree in the middle of the forest.

What would you choose? The road of Acceptance or the Island of Adventure?

The choice seems to be obvious to me when I put it this way… I will try to think in these terms next time I am tempted to wait for the golden invitation to the Acceptance road, instead of inviting others to the Island of Adventure.
