Vancouver rain

Vancouver rain. Blessing in disguise?

It’s July 3rd and it’s 12C and raining in Vancouver. You can feel the frustration, and desperation for the warmth, hanging over the city like a huge blimp, that is not willing to move. I am preparing my 3 year-old for her first day of …. “summer” camp, and cannot shake the negative thoughts of off my mind.

Then, I am looking at her; she is excited. She doesn’t know that it’s July 3rd.

She doesn’t know that it’s “supposed” to be summery hot.

She doesn’t care about the rain, because she’s got her Princess Umbrella, and her cozy puddle-proof boots. She doesn’t have any “expectations” what should or should not be or happen today. She is fully in the moment. She is free!
